Depends on how it was done. Old style hot iron would probably get you arrested. Chemical dye that doesn't hurt Bevo might be acceptable.

If you tranquilize it on a regular basis, I would consider it livestock with branding being acceptable. But bevo gets awfully close to the "pet" classification which would make branding not ok. Proceed, but with caution.

I think Bevo is still BBQed when he gets too old.

I like that we eat our mascot. The original Bevo served as BBQ for Ags and Longhorns.

It's good bull as long as you don't get caught. Which means you would never be able to take credit for it, only you and the people who did it with you would ever know it was you.

I do think Mike the Tiger would be a better choice. Sedate him, then use bleach on his hair....not animal rights group can complain about that.

I was thinking more along the line of Where's Waldo?

In fact, I'm surprised the LHN staff didn't think of the BEVOTRACKER as a show. Instead of the 2000th re-run of the 2005 natty game. He's a steer, at least the attempt at gay sex might be involved. Hits a demographic, that is desirable in Austin.
