ESPN has released a statement saying it regrets a "SportsCenter" report that aired on Tuesday afternoon from the St. Louis Rams training camp that discussed the showering habits of Michael Sam and whether he was avoiding the shower when teammates were present.

The report by Josina Anderson included speculation by one unnamed defensive player that Sam was "respecting" the space of teammates and "waiting to kind of take a shower as to not make his teammates feel uncomfortable."

Two other Rams defensive players asked by ESPN about the showers said they had not noticed that and "weren't tracking that."

Lying to the president is a good way to get expelled.

To me, this indicates their sexual assault investigation isn't looking great and the last thing they need is a civil rights lawyer using this as another example of FSU "letting boys be boys.". So the University steps in and ups the punishment.

The FSU fans who are up in arms that "he was just being silly with his friends" (including one who called me a c*** on twitter) don't seem to understand the university is under title IX Investigation because of this clown. They had to act.

If he lied to a university official about details of this, it just shows he's used to everyone buying his version of his stories without any consequences.

For those that aren't Twitter literate, the conversation continues and basically he is saying there is something else besides the most recent "FHRITP" incident, but right now they are saying he's out a full game because he lied to FSU administration about the details of the incident. But apparently there is more to it than that.

This is all about optics, and only optics. FSU deserves to go down for how they handled him over the last 18-months.

Word around Norman is that Bob Stoops is already in contact with Jameis and that he will be roomates with Dorial Green-Beckham next season. Bob reportedly told him that OU was much better at letting boys be boys and that there would be unlimited crab legs while he is in school.
