Welp after being convinced I shouldn't buy a vehicle now I figured I'd make DA PUBLICAN a better DD.

On Saturday I was graced by the king and we checked out the A/C system. It still had a charge, just not enough to make it blow cold. In his kind generosity I was offered two cans of freon. It's not going to make windows sweat or anything but it's better than windows down!

So today, after awaking from a much needed 12 hour rest, I got on insulating the cab. The roof has been bare metal for God knows how long and I tore up the vinyl floor to find multiple (instead of just one) holes.

I used Peel and Seal as a sound deadener on the floor and that bubbly aluminum foil insulation stuff on the roof and back part of cab.

Next up is a Weber carb and new vinyl floor.

Insulation made a huge difference, after the A/C was charged I headed over to my parent's house. I got there and my back was still slightly sweaty.

I was dry when I got home today. I can even talk on the phone too.

Whoop!

I did a similar thing with insulation on my headliner, although I put the headliner back in afterwards with contact cement. Eventually it sagged again, but it's still an inch above my hair, so good enough!

Planning to fix the A/C in my S10 this weekend. Got a new compressor, accumulator, and parallel flow condenser. It had better get cold!

Na, it usually doesn't flood, but I don't want to have to worry about it. It'd be good for short commutes or just runs to hardware stores.

It's not so good for a commute that's 50-60 minutes without traffic and 1.5-2 hours with traffic.
