Just completed my lunch at Lai Lai Dumpling. The General Tso Chicken was, as advised, excellent. The dumplings were good as well.

Went to the one on Westheimer a little skeptical but it was pretty good.

Also my favorite Chinese restaurant is Shan Hu over by hobby, should check it out - great jajangmyeon

I've never ordered them, but FuFu has several pages of dumpling options, including soup dumplings. I'm sure they are excellent like everything else there.

That kinda sheet is good for your immune system.

Every restaurant you've ever eaten at has violations. They just don't all get inspected. Plus I imagine your home kitchens and practices aren't completely sanitary either.

Not Chinatown but just had a Banh Mi at Roostar Vietnamese Grill on Gessner. Damn good Banh Mi - place is spotless, service fantastic, parking is not the greatest.

One of the best bahn mi in the city, however it's tiny and gets PACKED at busy times. I've gone in and not had a place to sit and had to eat standing up.

2 spring rolls and a bahn mi for a total of like $7 can't be beat.

Just about every Asian place has that "smell" that you have to ignore to enjoy the food.

Not Chinese, but hit up the Korean fried chicken joint at the Super H Mart on Blalock yesterday for lunch. Super legit. Only problem, they don't allow or sell beer in the food court. Would have made it perfect.
