I am curious to what it is specifically that you are looking for? Is it different cuts of meat, different cooking styles, ect? Or are you ordering the same kind of food at every restaurant and you need to mix it up?
He wants something exotic, like European Goat Sphincter basted in North American Yak semen, topped with blackened frog skin, served with a side of cheesy potatoes with a hit of smoke that you only get from rare wood found in an endangered forest in South America.

Based on all the bragging about the benefits of living ITL (usually the Heights), this sounds like a normal neighborhood family owned, vastly underrated but supremely awesome and much too sophisticated and cosmopolitan for LOL OTL poors type of restaurant. Should be able to just pick any one of them at random and have a meal that will challenge your palate, mind, body and soul.
they used to have fairly frequent groupon specials.

Both dinners were good, don't get me wrong. But there was nothing inventive or interesting on the menu really. The food was well prepared, properly seasoned, and tasted good but there was no daring or challenging you there

I should have clarified that I meant style in terms of the restaurant decor and the emphasis on presentation over food quality.

I recently attended a Greek wine tasting at Backstreet and he was the sommelier. I've always known Greek wines to be good. He had some really good stuff out and Backstreet did a fair job with the pairings. Best part of it was these wines were all very affordable, but given their growing popularity I don't think that will last too long.
