There are peacocks in the neighbor by Hobby Airport northwest of Telephone & Airport.

I cut through there at lunch one day and saw about 20 of those birds wandering around different front yards and 1 strutting his stuff at his reflection in the windows of one of the houses.

Chip - check out the bland nothingness and refineries by deaf smiths bridge on north richey at over little Vince bayou. There's a historical marker there along with some meth addicted fishermen.

I appreciate that the ship channel is one of the engines that drives Houston an makes it great, but yeah, it's not exactly tourist material. It would be like going to Pittsburgh and walking down the street looking at all of the steel mills.

There is the west loop and I-10 or the East loop and I-10, but no South Loop and 10

That is why we have names for these roads!!!! Eastex, Southwest, North, Gulf, etc. I was selling something on Craigslist, and I was texting the yahoo, and he had no idea what the "eastex" freeway was.

I hate "named" roads. For people passing through town, they are ridiculous to figure out. When I made regular trips from San Antonio to Galveston, hearing there was "a wreck on the outbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway" told me nothing. So glad I have a phone app that does a pretty good job of marking wrecks and slow traffic.
