I didn't ask. Just said thanks and went inside. He's not particularly friendly and I had the dog outside off the leash.
I reckon he was just picking it up to be nice.

When you purchase a cooler online does RTIC take the money at the time of purchase or when its shipped?

They charge your card right after you order. That's something that's frustrated lots of people is the wait has been anywhere from a month to three, yet they charge your card the same day you order (basically).
Having order a couple times from them, I have been pleased with the products and the return process. I ordered a Softpak 30, but found one at a Buccees a week or so after ordering. I sent them an email the evening I got home after fishing, got a response email the next morning saying the refund had been processed, and money was back on my card in a few days. So, if you decide to cancel the order down the road it shouldn't be much of an issue.

Took my soft side 20 and 40 to the hotter n hell bike ride. 40 had 6 frozen water bottles as the cold source. They stayed frozen for 36 hours. Partially frozen with an additional day in the hot car.
Was pretty nice to prepare the bike water bottles at home and have them work the next day.

What does the dog have to do with it?

Ha. Guess that was random. I don't think he likes the dog and his old wife is terrified my dog is gonna jump on her and knock her down despite the fact that every time she sees her she calls and Baby talks to her. Which riles her up and makes her jumpy.
Dogs aren't supposed to be outside off the leash in our neighborhood. She had just followed me out while I was looking for the box.

I've always thought my rubber seal isn't as thick as it should be and after comparing to a new 45, I think I'm right. Am I crazy?

I've got one identical to the black one, but of the three, I like the white the best.

Man... I have two of the reflective stickers waiting to be placed on something, and that black one is what I have envisioned. Looks good, just gotta wait until they're back in stock.
edit: now I'm kinda digging the white one...

I just googled "powder coat YETI Austin" and found a few places that will pretty much powder coat anything you want.
I have a few things around the house - some metal signs and a couple of Ramblers - that I'm going to take to get powder coated in a few weeks. Smaller objects look to be about $15-25 each on average.

Would probably be cheaper just to ask RTIC to make a maroon run.

How does one "make" those? Witchcraft?
Seriously, I want mine dipped.

Where is the dude that "works" for RTIC, but denies it? Need you on this.

Update, FYI: Just chatted online with them and asked about updated ship times. My original ship date was 8/27.
quote:
We hope to have all of these shipped out within two weeks of your estimated ship date, possibly sooner. We are waiting for the shipment to arrive to send these out. You will receive an email with tracking information once it leaves here.

Is that a vinyl that can be bought and cut on one of those machines?

Wouldn't it just be easier to send out a new email with the estimated shipping date. Or update order statuses when you look them up on their website

In reply to Lonestar_Ag09
Yes, that would be great. It seems like if they would update the estimated ship date when you check your order status it would save them a lot of customer inquiries.

I find it entertaining that RTIC can sell a coated colored rambler for $20.....when they are $65-$75 plus on etsy. There are a lot of people out there who were probably doing some good markup business that I bet are pissed.

I think that's volume, plain and simple. Coating one cup takes 90% of the effort of coating 250.
