Taylor and his father were in an auto accident Sunday, January 9th, 2011. The accident claimed Taylor's life and left his father with a fractured leg and injured shoulder. Mr. Gillespie is a former aircraft mechanic supervisor and has been out of work for several months. They have no medical insurance, no life insurance, and the only running vehicle they own was totaled in the accident.
We've put together a fire pit to benefit the Gillespie family. The pit is heavy 3/16" thick steel, built to last a very long time. As you can see in the picture, you can bolt on panels to suit your needs. I will make whatever the winning bidder wants in the panels given that it will fit and I am capable, it can be aTm (as shown), your initials, your brand, deer, etc (no more than 2 panel design to make the total of 6 needed). The panels will be cut out of 10 gauge steel. The pit is shown unpainted, but it will be painted black with hi-temp paint. It is 32" across the flats, sits about 10" off of the ground, and the sides are 12" tall. Retail value around $450.
Winning bidder will have to pick it up from our shop in Temple, TX. I can probably arrange to meet within an hour or so drive. Or, I will ship for my cost.
This will be the official thread for bids. POST YOUR BIDS HERE, or if you would like to be anonymous, email me and I will post it up for you.
Bidding will close at 5:00pm on THURSDAY, JANUARY 20. Winning bidder will make check to Taylor Gillespie Benefit Fund and mail it to me.
Good luck from all of the Baker family!
