I still remember trying to figure out what kind of music it was. Not rock, not jazz, definitely not country..... it was some other genre, some different or 'alternative' type of music.

It's ok. It's no Backspacer.

Black album is 25 this month too. I'm pretty sure it sold a few more copies than ten.

Junkhead.. you are linking RIAA, which is 'shipped' units, not sold units. Big difference.

Nielsan SoundScan is THE verifiable 'sold' units, and black album has sold more than any other copy since it was released in 1991 as of latest data of 2014, but again, I didn't realize it was not worldwide, only US/canada

Whatever small lead they have now will get bumped in november with the new album, just like in 2008 (they were not in first place for a few years before 2008, then took lead again)

Well that conveniently leaves out any album released before 1991. But my point still stands that if you're using sales figures to determine what music is good/better/best than I don't really have any desire to talk music with you.

I think Ten is the best album of that group but would rank Sept. higher because I would rank Nevermind Use Your Illusion I and Blood Sugar Sex Magik over the Black album.

To all yall sum*****es, if I may direct you to my initial statement that black was released at same time as Ten, but that I'm 'pretty sure' has sold a few more copies.. you see that little yellow face in the heading of my comment? that winky face? Do you know what that is? It means I was making a lighthearted comment about black album vs ten. It should have stopped there.

Everybody comes in with their garth brooks and shania twain and nsync sold more albums bs, just to turn around and say that more albums sold doesn't mean better.

How stupid what argument is? I didn't make any such argument about anything.. I said black sold more than ten, and included a winky face to show my tone was in jest.

You came in with the argument that nsync sold more than black album, so are they better?

But I simply replied with they didn't outsell black album, so it's moot.Then on and on with all the others culminated with you saying albums sales don't make it better.

I never said any such thing regarding quality vs. album sales. You pulled that argument out of thin air.
