Since I've lived here, there are only 4 places I've been that had a burger worth going back for another. In no particular order:

Faust Hotel
Mozies
Cantina Del Rio
Longhorn Cafe

There maybe some truth to that. However, if you ever move out of Texas then I guarantee that you will be missing some whataburger.

You can find better burgers than at whataburger, but it's hard to find a better fast food burger.

Pats? You've got to be kidding me....that place reminds me of that show where the British guy ridicules the small town restaurant owners for serving nothing but a large menu of pre-made frozen food. Once was more than enough for me. Gross

TJ's......Lemon pepper is bad enough of fish. On burgers....hell no. Their buns are dry and mealy too.

I try to avoid the Gristmill, but, usually get CFS because you're supposed to. Their CFS isn't what it's cracked up to be. I'll try their burger next time

Last time I was at Gristmill I got fish and it was really good. You're really supposed to eat there after a long day on the river though.

I'm pretty sure Burger King is just the world's most elaborate tax shelter or something.

IN N OUT Cheeseburger, grilled onions, no spread, easy mustard.....fries well done

Used to be Sonic but bleah.....so Country Burger or Keller's...Country Burger Cheese Fries are awesome....their ranch dressing is damn good

Braums is the ****! That's prolly one of the only thing I miss about living in Dallas! Grab a Bag of burgers and hit the lake.

McDonald's is by far the worst burger on the planet.

If it's not a burger chain, IMO it doesn't count. I'm not driving terribly far for a burger. So, if I limit this to chains, my favorites are:

Fudruckers - Fresh, really good burger. Decent patty sizes cooked to order, great homemade buns, fresh fixings.

Carter's/Texas Burger: Really good burger.

Dairy Queen: Despite the fact that not all locations produce the same quality, College Station DQ makes a damn good burger. Plus DQ and Carter's have excellent onion rings! In fact, they are the only places I will order them.

Give Phoenix another shot, they don't let you smoke in there any more.

Can't speak for most of the food at Pats, but their burgers are great.

I'll admit that I haven't been to TJs in years, so I guess the quality isn't what it used to be.
