Gunnysack, yeah I got to meet Miss Edna. The Wife and I flew out to Phoenix for two days to interview her in 2009. She gave me an autographed album of the Best Little *****house Broadway soundtrack, and some photos she had of the ranch. She was a non-stop chain smoker. None of her neighbors knew her history, and she liked to keep it that way. I stayed in contact with her until her death.

Guilty as charged. My dad used to goose guide with Clifton Tyler. Both my brothers went goose/duck hunting regularly as well. I liked teal hunting, but haven't been in ages.

Small world. My Grandfather starting goose hunting with Clifton's dad back in the 70's & I guess he met your Dad then. I've been to your place, but it has been 20 years or so. Good times.

The usual places--Amazon, B&N, BAM etc. Any regular bookstore not named Hastings can get it for you as well, if you've got a favorite. Thanks for your interest!

Also, the San Antonio Current has a review in the issue that just came out.

Pretty much, but the owner isn't crazy about unescorted visitors because of 1) vandalism and 2) the ruins really are dangerous. I'm working with him to secure a historical marker for the site.

The owner seems really nice. I almost feel bad for sneaking onto his property my last time in LaGrange.

If anyone is trying an excursion, Google shows a road going straight to it, but it doesnt exist any more. You can't see anything at all from the road so its not worth going.

Book sounds awesome. I'll have to pick it up.

yea its kind of an urban legend around La Grange (although it used to be true in '80s) that the sheriff would patrol up and down rocky creek road seeking out looky-loos that were trying to get a first hand sight of the remains.

Its really not worth trespassing on cause what you saw in the video with jamie is more than you will get to see yourself.
