one friend married his high school sweetheart after college graduation and stayed true to it (though he's now a full-time pastor so kind of an outlier)

another friend did date in college but none of them stuck (though they shared his ideals) and found someone a couple years out of college that was a great match, and they're now married happily

and i mean, sure, it seems "odd" to me too, but it's their life and their decisions. i don't agree with those decisions for my life but i can't say i don't admire the conviction to their beliefs
