Glad the Army is footing the bill for equipment, however for future knowledge when on Active Duty leaving TA-50 unsecured (even locked in your POV is considered insecure) can be ground for UCMJ or at least leaving you financially responsible.
With that being said we were all 21-22 at one point and at least I was fairly naive to the world still. Glad he got his boots covered as well as his gear. Hope he learns a valuable lesson and still has faith in humanity and Aggies despite their being ten occasion random a**hole out there.
