I never liked ketchup until I was pregnant.

Now I like it for hashbrowns, fried pickles, hot dogs, and french fries.

It can never be on them though. I have to dip them in the ketchup.

I love the attitude about putting ketchup on things like hot dogs and corn dogs, as if they're fine dining and the ketchup is ruining them. They're not f-ing steaks.

And Tabasco is the ****.

Ketchup goes on nothing, but I will dip various foods in ketchup. Those include - burgers, fries/tots/occasionally hash browns (not home fries), chicken fingers if other sauces are subpar, fried pickle chips, and occasionally fried fish if other sauces are subpar. I rarely have ketchup with eggs though it happens. Really just depends.

Tamales are eaten plain, since I only ever eat damn good tamales that need no fluffing up by sauces.

My grandma's Chili Pequin sauce was pretty damn good. I wish I had gotten the recipe from her before she passed. I have never been able to replicate it, not even close.

She wrote nothing down, It was all from memory. I have ALMOST duplicated her pecan pie recipe. I honestly think the missing ingredient was the old gas stove. I would bet the aged grease and such in there provided that missing bit of flavor.

once you're past the age of 7 or 8, ketchup doesn't go with anything other than the various forms of fried potatoes (except hashbrowns), and isn't a necessity even then

mustard is the proper condiment for a hot dog
