you realize that they *should* be sellers at the trade deadline. If they can get any sort of package of prospects for Oswalt (and he waives his NT clause) they should take it.

Same goes for Berkman, Lee, or Tejada.

The stros need to scrap it and rebuild with Pence being the cornerstone of that franchise.

With the NL Central being the ****hole division that it is, sadly the Astros actually have a decent shot at being contenders come playoff time. I agree they should be sellers, but we all know they won't. I'm just praying they don't sell off any of the remaining farm talent we have this season

The NL central is crap - agreed. But they should start building long term...don't trade what very very few prospects you have to make a run at a division you likely won't win (nor the wild card) and even in the very unlikely event that you did, you'd get swept by the Dodgers.

Sell now, build your farm, accept crapiness for this year and next, and rebuild.

Cranium, last i checked the astros are only a handful of games behind the rangers.

Last I checked, the Rangers were leading their division, while the Astros were in 5th.

The Rangers are also 17-5 against their own division while the Astros are 17-24.

Rangers Division: 75% teams above .500
Astros Division: 33% teams above .500

The Assblows will have to go through St Louis (laugh), Milwaukee (doubtful), Chicago (possibly) and Cincinnati (likely) to win the penant.

SF or Colorado or a team from the NL East will win the Wildcard.

The odds of them overcoming all of this is somewhere near the odds of Debbie having sex this week and Nigarsarus_Rex not being banned.
