1999 Z24 turning classic this year
Was $75/yr plates renew, now $50 every 5 years "Google says"
TDPS robo won't answer Q = since inspections end next year "Google says" for all cars
do I need to get this one inspected since Classic Plates have been ordered?
County emails me YES must renew your June inspection prior to June & picking up plates.

Please corrent any/all of the above since there seems to be some doubts arising and some just doing their SOP job/responding ala knee jerk.

Also my son's truck turning Classic this year and inquiring minds need to know from a reliable forum.
IMHO and am sticking to it

Unless you live in an emissions county, inspections are going away. But not for a while. So you may have to get it inspected this one time.

I know antique plates have restrictions. Do "classic" tags? Can you drive as much as you want, etc?

No restrictions on classic. Just has to be 25years old.
