A new Apple TV series based on the Blake Crouch book of the same name starts next month. Starring Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly. Eight episodes.

I really enjoyed the book so I'm interested in this. Plus, Apple TV has a pretty good hit rate.

Im not a fan of how they spell out the plot line so much in that trailer. Lots of key components that added to the fun of the story as they are revealed, but this feels like it takes away from some of the entertainment of the story. Oh well, I guess it makes sense to drive interest, and I shouldn't do the "in the book they did it this way" thing. But even if it's exactly the same as the book, it's still nice to guess along the way vs having it spoon fed to you beforehand.

Also, anyone else tired of the multiverse trend we have going right now?

There was one spoiler I noticed that was kind of a big one. But if I remember right, I think it's pretty early in the book. So maybe it's not that big of a deal. Agree with your sentiment though.

Kidnapped JD = JD Prime? lol dunno but it would be cool to tie in a reference to physics/quantum superposition.

This happens so often now. My wife and I will be looking for something new to watch and check out the trailer for something that looks interesting. Well...it looks good, but we don't really need to watch it now. It just showed us every single thing that happens in the series!

Anyone still on this train? We enjoyed the audio book on a trip a few years back so decided to give it a go, but through 3 episodes IMO it's been a derivative snoozefest.

I love how AppleTV says new episodes are released Wednesday but really it is 8pm Tuesday night

I'm really enjoying it. Don't know anything about the book. I particularly like the actors' portrayal of the different versions of themselves. Interested to see where this is going and what surprise conflicts (not the obvious conflicts) arise.

I read the book a few years ago, so I've been keeping up with the series. So far, I'd only give it a B- maybe because I've read the book. I'm hoping it gets better as they come face-to-face with themselves.

I actually think a lot of the problem is the lead actor, Joel Edgerton. His acting is ok, but I could imagine someone ... better. Hard to put a finger on it, but maybe a less stoic cross between Harrison Ford and Bryan Cranston? In fact, I get a little Breaking Bad vibe since he's simultaneously regretting career choices and hiding things from his family.

Really loving the show. I'm going to need that snap sound between worlds as my text notification on my phone. The ending of this past episode where J2 leaves Ryan was predictable but still really good. 3 episodes and 10 ampules left doesn't leave many more trips or time to wrap this up. Hope they stick the landing.

Yeah I'm loving it. Really like Edgerton in this role and the subtle differences between the two Jasons

Another really well done sci fi offering from Apple

I think they will go back to get more ampules, the girl takes lead to get back to their original world, teaches Jason how to man up and control the quantum corridor

Nice twist at the end of Ep. 7. Seems like it could open things up for an additional season or two. Favorite show airing right now, at least until The Boys S4 drops.

Ya I'm confused now, what did I just see? I rewatched that scene multiple times trying to connect the dots?

Jason2 was wearing a different shirt when at the house and plus it never shows him leaving the house to buy a gun. With Jason1, I couldn't see him wearing a bandage around his hand on the previous scenes and don't remember him hurting himself. There must be a 3rd Jason but how??! And the fact that Jason2 took another Ryan and planted him is crazy and awesome at the same time

I watched episodes 6 and 7 back-to-back last night, and thought both were much better than 2-5 now that Jason 1 has finally found his home dimension which we all knew was going to happen eventually. I also liked the "perfect" dimension which is a hypothetical worth exploring. I didn't catch the "Jason 3" twist either, so I need to re-watch that part.

So we're told not all possible dimensions can be entered, but (I forget how it was phrased) just those that could be possible for the person. If that's right, is the show implying that between the day Jason was born and current day, the world could have changed into that "perfect" dimension? Not sure how that's possible...

Every possibility exists for every multiverse one has existed in. I assume since he is with Amanda that they can only access multiverses they both exist in.
