DRS starting after 1 lap should help keep the gap close until at least the first pit stops, hopefully.
The other cars are much further along in their development cycle than the RB. They are much closer to achieving minimum possible laptime given the concepts they're built around. The new RB is basically going back to the beginning of 2022 with a brand new, albeit massively well-informed, car concept.Bunk Moreland said:

If anyone else is going to get a win, do it now before RB brings the upgrades. Once that happens the only things stopping a clean sweep by Max is a reliability issue or possibly a collision with a back marker.

I didn't either. Granted a 3 year old running around doesn't allow for full attention

Not great if Max can get one second leads within the first lap. Might have to start the race with DRS activated.
He might have taken too seriously the comments about him and Daniel getting looks for the Red Bull 2 spot in case Perez falters.
Seems like 1st lap DRS was implemented just to keep Max from running away and it didn't even work

Well, that was a nice battle for 3-7.
F1 TV interviewed Daniel after the race, and, per him, they talked about this exact situation during their pre-race discussions. Yuki knew he would get team orders if this happened. Yuki just cemented that he is never getting that Red Bull seat.
Dude should be cut mid season. Such a child.
