New England Patriots select Layden Robinson in the fourth round, 103rd overall
Layden Robinson on Saturday joined a long list of Texas A&M SEC offensive linemen taken in the NFL Draft.
He was taken in the fourth round by the New England Patriots.
The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Robinson, a three-year starter at right guard, is the 10th Aggie offensive lineman to be taken in the draft since A&M entered the Southeastern Conference in 2012.
The previous A&M linemen drafted in that span include first-round picks Luke Joeckel (2013), Jake Matthews (2014), Cedric Ogbuehi (2015), Germain Ifedi (2016) and Kenyon Green (2022).
Also drafted in that span were Jarvis Harrison (fifth round, 2015), Jermaine Eluemunor (fifth round, 2017), Erik McCoy (second round, 2019) and Dan Moore (fourth round, 2021).
Robinson arrived at A&M in 2019 as a three-star recruit out of Manvel High School.
He became a full-time starter in 2021 and stayed in the starting lineup for the remainder of his career.
Robinson was a second-team Associated Press All-American in 2021 and a first-team All-SEC selection by Pro Football Focus.
