2025 Bridgeland OL Jonte Newman commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M has added to its 2025 commit class in a big (literally) way with the verbal commitment of Bridgeland OL Jonte Newman‍.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pounder chooses the Aggies over offers from Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama and several others.

Newman possesses some elite traits that project at any position across the offensive line. He plays with great power and is always looking to finish blocks. He’s exceptionally light on his feet for a kid with such a sturdy lower half. Newman is also very intelligent with an advanced understanding of the game.

Overall, this is Mike Elko’s ninth member of this year’s class and the fourth on the offensive line. Newman also plays for former Texas A&M defensive lineman Lonnie Madison at Bridgeland.
