I was driving down 6 the other day and thought I saw a couple of new projects being worked on. Are they putting in something next to Linens N Things as well as next to Olive Garden? If so, what are they?

Rumor has it that Circuit City is building a larger location and the construction near Olive Garden may be the new mexican restaurant out of Austin. Anyone know the name-it escapes me at the moment!!!

Red Lobster is moving to the area that they are clearing at Univeristy and Lincoln.

Are they really that good? I've "boycotted" them in Austin because they wouldn't accept my military ID as proof of ID to sell me a margarita.... but I'm probably willing to let bygones be bygones....

they have some jalapeno ranch dip thats good stuff. i go there for that alone.

I'm curious to see how Red Lobster builds on that lot. There's a nice creek running right through the property. I guess they'll be closer to Lincoln than University.

But the street address is University.

Once Circuit City moves into their bigger location, I'd expect Best Buy to be building a new store to match the CC store's size. Best Buy will not let CC have a larger store than them.

hopefully best buy becomes a class A store if they build a new bldg.

Where was the Ashley Furniture store gonna go? For some reason, I was under the impression that it was the construction beside Olive Garden. I could be remembering it incorrectly, though.

cog - I believe it will be just to the north of Varsity Ford - kinda where the old par 3 golf course used to be.

Chuy's is pretty low on the hog.

Because seafood places either go out of business or burn down in college station. It's science.

It is not a Chuy's from what I remember when this was dicussed about 6-9 months ago. The Austin mexican restaurant(what ever the name is-I will search tonight to see if I can find the old thread) was met with good reviews and excitement at the time it was discussed on this board. Let me see what I can find out.

There was supposed to be a Berryhill's, but that's a Houston chain. Is that still in the plans?

Holy hell, a Berryhill's would be awesome, and I bet it would do a booming business in CS. Some other H-town chains I think would kill in CS are Spec's and James Coney Island. Nothing like a large selection of reasonably priced booze and .99 hotdogs to keep the college students happy. Too bad those places don't franchise(as far as I know).

James Coney Island came to town and failed several years ago. They were in the bulding on University Drive near South College that is now Taco Bell.

Chueys is more of the Arizona/New Mexico style of cooking. Not better, just different. I'm surprised with their HQ in Houston that Landry's does not have a presence in B/CS, especially with all the chains they rep

Everytime I go into Circuit City the employees outnumber the customers 10 to 1 and they are usually too busy talking to each other to help you.

Yep, finally saw the sign today leaving Varsity. It's directly adjacent (north) to the Varsity property.

Ah, yes, it was Berryhill's that I heard initially. Just confirmed it with my hubby. However, he heard that there is/may be some sort of wrinkle in the contract with them.

So, bottomline, I have no idea who that padsite is for. Glad I could contribute!

Berryhill is good. It's close to where I live.
I thought it was going to be a fruity womens sandwich and tea place.

I don't think Berryhill is anything to get too excited about though.
Better than On the Border and probably more original menu than Abuelos. I don't think Berryhill is anything to get too excited about though, then again, I thought Mi Cocina was just okay too. Very expensive for what you get.
I guess it's nice to have all these nice options in Aggieland.
