Did you take a dip in that river where the spring flows in? It is at that end of the park.

Awesome! I loved yellowstone last year

It's the Boiling River... a hot spring flows into the cold river and you can sit at the mixing point... move 6 inches one way and you burn, move 6 inches the other and you freeze... when people walk by, it's a potluck

At Mammoth springs did you take the old park trail up to the top? There is an actual formation up there that looks like a big wooly mammoth; hence the name.
