Midland High and Odessa go 23 innings before Midland wins 4-3. The game was suspended after 13 innings and finished the next day.

I'm assuming that if this were a college game they would keep playing until it's over.

So would you rather have an Aggie game go this long with an Ags win or a 7-inning run rule win?

I'm from Midland and there is some good old fashioned rivalry here between us and Odessa. Baseball is plenty of fun around here!

Sophomore year in 1975, went 17 innings in a night road game 50 miles away. Finished after midnite, we won, got back home about 2:30 a m. Will never forget it. 23 innings is really crazy. Fortunately it was on a Friday night.

Saw that the US record is 25 innings but the world record is 50 innings in a high school game in Japan in 2014.

We had a hs Tuesday night game at Bryan HS my senior year (I lived in Austin so we still had a 1:45 drive home after) that ended well after midnight. Let's just say I was sick from school the next day.

I still remember the 18-inning TCU game. And the 18-inning Astros game from 20 years ago. They're always crazy.
