I'm looking at all time offensive rebounds by Andersson Garcia.

The all time offensive rebounds record is 324 by Tyler Davis. Andersson Garcia has 226. Andy had 156 last season.

Note: the offensive rebounds stats I found only date back to 2014, so maybe a Vernon Smith had more but Andy would still have the record.

Offensive Rebounds
1. Tyler Davis, 2015-16 to 2017-18 324
2. Kourtney Roberson, 2010-11 to 2014-15 323
3. Joseph Jones, 2004-05 to 2007-08 309
4. Bryan Davis, 2006-07 to 2009-10 274
5. David Loubeau, 2008-09 to 2011-12 255
6. Henry Coleman, 2021-22 to 2023-24 254
7. Tyrece Radford, 2021-22 to 2023-24 235
8. Andersson Garcia, 2022-23 to 2023-24 226
9. Ray Turner, 2009-10 to 2012-13 214
10. Nick Anderson, 2000-01 to 2003-04 195

*Complete 2014-15 to 2023-24*

Any more?

Taylor can take down a bunch of them. I think the records for total 3 pointers, free throws, and points are all within reach. He'll get close to the top five in assists and could get to second in steals.

He should have all time FT% locked up assuming no crazy fallout.

Yeah, he's already the leader there so I didn't count that, but yeah.

Wade Taylor is only 432 points behind Bernard King for most points all-time. King played in 115 games, while Taylor has already played in 111 as an Aggie.

Taylor is 78 made threes from Josh Carter.

Taylor is 81 made FTs from Bernard King

Taylor is 31 games played from Kourtney Roberson

How about at 6'2 and in only 3 years at A&M he is #17 all-time in total rebounds with 636

Figured I'd go ahead and run the numbers for Taylor:

A note on some of these, 12thMan.com and the media guide does not have a section for career records. You can pull some of these from the "1,000 pt" and "500 rebound" club sections at the end of the media guide, but some of these are pulled from the cbb reference database, which only has complete A&M data going back to 1964.

Points: 1990
Record holder: Bernard King ('99-'03)
Taylor's current ranking: 6th (1588)
Projection: Using his average of 19 ppg this season, Wade will likely overtake this record in late January and become the first Aggie to eclipse 2,000 career points.
1 - King - 1990
2 - Smith - 1778
3 - Jones - 1679
4 - Law IV - 1669
5 - Beasley - 1594

Free Throws: 488
Record holder: Bernard King ('99-'03)
Taylor's current ranking: 3rd (407)
Note: As Method Man pointed out, Taylor is already the school leader in free throw percentage at 84.6%, next closest is Bennie Lenox, 80%)
Projection: The greatest foul-drawer in school history will make it official right around the start of conference play
1- King - 488
2 - Jones - 480

Three pointers: 299
Record Holder: Josh Carter ('05-'09)
Taylor's current rankings: 3rd (221)
Projection: Taylor likely overtakes this record by mid February. At 2.7 makes per game last season, he'd need 26 games, but Taylor also started out pretty cold from beyond the arc last season before really heating up late.

Assists: 649
Record holder: Alex Caruso ('12-'16)
Taylor's current ranking: 10th (369)
Projection: Using last season's average of 4 assists per game, Taylor would get to 6th on this list if we play 36 games next season. I think the highest he could plausibly get would be second, He'd need about 6 assists per game and we'd need to play like 40 games, but that's the upper limit of what's possible. He'll likely be up to 7th by the end of the first week of the season.
1 - Caruso - 649
2 - Edwards - 602
3 - King - 550
4 - Law IV - 545
5 - Goff - 535
6 - Holloway - 491
7 - Kirk - 382
8 - Harris - 379
9 - Sloan - 370

Steals: 276
Record holder: Alex Caruso ('12-'16)
Taylor's current ranking: 5th (174)
Projection: Using last year's numbers (66) it's likely Taylor gets to second on this list fairly easily by the end of February, but he'd need to shatter the single season record for steals (Darryl McDonald, 90) to have a chance to pass Caruso's mark.
1 - Caruso - 276
2 - Edwards - 228
3 - Holloway - 208
4 - Goff - 198

Taylor will also, not surprisingly shatter a couple of attempt records:
3pt attempts: Record: Josh Carter - 715, Taylor currently: 3rd, 682
Field goal attempts: Record: Vernon Smith - 1700, Taylor currently: 4th, 1300
And he'll make a run at:
Free throw attempts: Record: Bernard King - 680, Taylor currently: 11th, 481

Honestly, that was the only reason I started this thread. So you'd run the numbers and break it down. Thanks!

BTW it's going to be kinda nice that our record book isn't tainted by any covid seniors. Would be really annoying as a player if the big career records were set in five seasons or whatever, but all of our big records are going to be held by four-year players. Garcia is going to be a five year player but his Mississippi State numbers won't count for career records here.

Let's say he hits all the marks bob has noted including all time leading scorer but doesn't make first team all American Does he become only the second Aggie with his jersey in the rafters?

I'm a little torn on that. If the mark is you have to be an All-American, then that's the mark, but I'd also be fine if the mark also includes being first-team All conference (at the end of the season) for multiple seasons. Wade's already done that which not even Law did.

It's not like the actual number is retired and we're running low on jersey numbers or anything.

I predict that Buzz will break the record for games not a dressed up like he was going to a HS formal.
