Can't view posts on app - needs Basic Subscription

I recently changed from Premium to Free. I can obviously post this on the forums, but I can't click on a post within all the free forums. It says "Requires Basic Subscription". I can view posts on the desktop.

What's the deal?

The app is considered a subscriber feature. The only thing non-subscriber can do on it is read free stories. It has been this way from launch.
