Oh, and enjoying an Oskar Blues G'Knight at a late lunch right now. Great Imperial Red Ale. Speaking of Imperial Red Ales, if any of you houston area folks have a chance, try Cycler's Brewing's 55-11. Probably my favorite red ale.

Here are some packing tips. I tend to over pack, but its cheaper than having to send two boxes after the first one has bottles break. I work under a tenet that I should feel comfortable tossing my box across the backyard with no worries.

Use a heavy duty box if you have one

Line the box with a double layer of bubble wrap across each wall

Fill a trash bag with some bubble wrap or packing paper

I like to use two sheets of bubble wrap for 12ozers.

Cling wrap is your friend

Roll the bottle up and secure it tightly with wrap. Mind the cap and bottom

I use three sheets for bombers. Two whole sheets and one torn in half. Roll it up and then pull the excess around the cap and bottom.

Fill up the box. Be sure that no part of a bottle touches the wall of the trash bag or any other bottle inside. I try and have at least a couple inches of padding between the box and the bottles. Packing peanuts work well and are much easier, but I tend to have a lot of excess stuff sitting around. This is about halfway home in regards to stuffing

I like to cover up the trash bag with a few sheets of packing paper.

Throw an extra shipping label right on top. I try and throw stickers and other stuff in my boxes. My parents were up recently and brought me a ton of jerky from Rosenthal. It's the best jerky ever

Cover the entire label with tape. I don't like those stick on label holders. They can get ripped off.

The only thing taking that baby down is a forklift.

Choice City Butcher and Deli in Fort Collins tapped a keg of Younger yesterday. The Mayor of OldTown and Tap n Handle will also have tappings at some point.

There should be plenty of other opportunities in the metro area over the next few weeks.

I found this years to be more fruity and dry. The finish is incredible. It lingers longer on the palate than most beers.

62, since you mentioned Tipsy's... Have you been to Jakes' Brew Bar in Littleton? That place is great. They have a long list of Craft Beers.

62, we're all set on the purchase. The store will let me pay them directly, and will have it available to pick up under your name. I'll e-mail you tomorrow once they let me know it's ready, and we can work out the shipping.

Fairy;
perfect just let me know.

i guess you saw NCOags post above about USPS?

Guess we should try another carrier. I'm still curious if we can use the USPS boxes though, sine they are free. I'm sure if there's a fedex label on it, they don't care.

I've never shipped in a USPS box so Im not much help. I hate Walmart, but they have cheap shipping supplies. 14x14x14 boxes are $0.70

Stopped by Stone over the weekend while I was down in Coronado and picked this 2007 vintage.

Also stopped by ballast point. I really enjoyed this place and their beers. I think this brewery is truly underrated. Their Sculpin was the tits and defiantly worth the cost The folks working there were really cool. The brewer who gave us the tour even went back in the Brewhouse and offered me a sample of his personal ipa that he'd been playing with. I think they're starting to get into Texas and I'd suggest giving them a try

Also tried to make it to the younger tapping at toronado but by the time I got there the line was down the block and around the corner with no chance of getting in before the keg was floated. Oh well I'll try again next year in Colorado.

Ah, Coronado. Such a wonderful place. My most expensive hotel bill of all time!

Please tell me you got some Societe and Alpine.

No unfortunately wasn't able to do more than two breweries since I had the lady with me. Anything in particular from one of those breweries I should lookout for at bevmo? While I wish I could have stayed at the hotel del I stayed at the NAS right down the beach for probably at least a 1/4 of the price

I don't think Alpine is distributed up by your base but I think http://beverages4lessinc.com will ship some in-state. It's a little pricey but worth the spurge every now and then. Societe is bar/brewery only right now. If you get a chance to go back down there, be sure to hit those two and Toronado. You won't be disappointed.

I can't wait to try Maui Brewing in a few months!

There's a fair to midland chance I'll make it back down there before I leave. Thanks for the heads up.

Wasn't really planning on drinking anything tonight but not much to do sitting in the hotel room but watch duck dynasty and go through the small cellar of beer I've built up over the past month and a half.

I picked this up only because Apu would only sell me a bottle of Pliny if I bought another bottle of anything he had. This was the only beer in there that I really hadn't seen everywhere so I grabbed it. To be honest I don't feel it's up to par with all the other Russian rivers but still good

Had BB2 yesterday. Just consider it ok. I am not a cherry fan, but it wasn't too pronounced. Didn't have much of a chance following up BB1, that beer was awesome.
