Anyone use peat moss to fill in bald spots or thin spots in your yard?

How about compost or mulch?

I use a bag of soil and a bag of compost on top

All the time. I usually top dress my lawn every couple years with peat compost.

Fill the bare spots with it, then add sand on top to help encourage runners.

Best option for Example: The Ground Up makes a soil that is like 1/3rd of Sand, Compost and Rose mix soil. this is good for bare spots and adding a soil and nutrients back all at once.

If it is a small area, I like to use rose mix soil.
