That will not happen. Another 5-7, possibly 4-8 is on the menu. Stoops is going to paste them.
Look I get it, "t.u. is stuck in the dumpster fire conference, you guys suck, you'd be lucky to get Fran to come out of retirement to even coach your lousy team in your lousy conference.", I mean that is a great narrative on TexAgs, in reality that is just not true.
You mean the reality that your broke ass school can't even afford to fire chuckles much less hire a decent coach, or do you mean the alternative reality that your piece of **** network try's to portray?

I was at that game and stayed until the very end. I think there were 5 other people that did the same as me.

Sept. 13, 1997, was among the most embarrassing days in the storied history of University of Texas football, the date when a winless UCLA team came to Austin and did everything except grill Bevo steaks in the parking lot after the game.
"We had a quarterback, Marty Cherry, who had spent all summer modeling for Polo," former Texas wide receiver Wane McGarity recalls. "He took a beating that day and never played in a game again.
"They beat him back into modeling. That's what UCLA did; they turned us all into models."

Shouldn't you have been at a Baylor game?

Doc - instant replay isn't foolproof. See Vince's lateral in first half of the NC game. That was reviewed and determined okay.

quote:On TV they were circling people walking out and saying "this guy is going to go cut the grass... this one over here has to wash the car..." just to fill time because the exodus was more interesting than the actual game.
That game was glorious. The Hubs and I were hanging out by the pool at the house in Austin, listening on the radio and occasionally venturing inside to watch a replay or two. The announcers on TV literally said "Anyone wearing powder blue eyeshadow in the stands could suit up and play and the horns couldn't stop them," because UCLA was emptying its bench sending in players while the starters hung out the second half.
What was the best part of all was the call in show after that game. The butthurt sip tears were delicious. We were rolling listening to it.

ce - Probably a freak confluence of Baptist refs. Crap happens, but over the 60 years I've watched UT football it has seemed to me we've gotten more than our fair share of the ref calls, and I consider that right and proper.
quote:
ce1994 - The only losses worse for me than those to Baylor were those to OU. I hate losing to the Baptists and having to put up with my wife later. Baylor sucks almost as much as OU.
quote:
Doc - More egregious ones involved the ultimate outcome of the games, like one against Rice and one against North Texas. OTOH, OU clearly outbid us couple of times for the refs.

Dub:
The worst officiated game I have ever seen was tu v. Baylor. It was Grant Teaff's last game and the refs completely screwed. I mean it was not even close. You know those close plays where you can make a split second decision and later say "well I did not have the benefit of replay". Nothing like that. The refs did not even lube up the sips. Just put it to them.

tu can get more wins, just because the competition is diminished.
Is Baylol going to be any good? They are going to regress
