Where's Bowlsby in this?? The Big XII head office has got to know OOC scheduling like this hurts the Big XII overall.

The SEC enacted a new rule regarding OOC opponents for the same reason. Perception.

The CFP selection committee has done everything but hire a skywriter over Waco to tell them their scheduling is a problem. And Briles continues to thumb his nose at them.

Simply amazing.

Baylor's AD was on the radio yesterday claiming that they were attempting to schedule a SEC opponent to a neutral site game in Texas in 2020. I don't believe he mentioned "who" they were attempting to schedule, but Chuck Carlton guessed perhaps Arkansas. When these kinds of rumors come up about Baylor, I just sit back and wait for the AD of the aforementioned opponent to deny any discussions with them.

Aahh, but the NCAA is the scapegoat on that one. Baylor can't get their waiver to sanction that game, allegedly.

My guess is the TV partners are looking at the time difference and saying, "WTH are you thinking??"

Ian McCaw has overseen a lot of "success" during his tenure as Baylor's AD. But the guy lies through his teeth and throws stuff out there regarding scheduling that is just bizarre. Only to come back and schedule yet another cupcake.

It's baffling to me why he does that over and over again.

On the contrary, Bielema and Long would find the prospect of reaming a new one in Briles as better than "borderline erotic."
