But WV an increasing share of the BDF payout to look forward too.

Texas gets to look forward to continuing to pay MB, whatever buyout may be owed to Barnes, maybe augie too. And decreasing ticket sales (but maybe the can offset that with increased prices).

It's $600,000, and only Wickline is on the hook for that. He didn't have an agent, or lawyer reviewing his tu contract. No indemnification clause. He owes OSU the money. Only way he recoups that amount without tax consequences is to sue Strong and tu for fraudulent inducement to get him to sign that contract with them.

Might be another clown coming out of the tiny car in the center ring of the circus that is the 40 acres.

Just confirms what I have been saying for years - Horns cooked the books when it came to athletic revenue to make themselves relevant.

But but but they are going to build a $450MM basketball arena and expand DKKKR to seat 12 billion people.

So they refused to pay the buyout, but then left Wickline on the hook in the event he was sued? They really are cheap *******s.

Aren't these indemnification clauses pretty common when it comes to contracts with potential buyouts involved? You would think the school would throw that into the contract as a sign of goodwill.

Yes, indemnification clauses are common, when the coach has an agent. Wickline didn't have an agent.

From tu's perspective, why offer it if he isn't demanding it?? OTOH, avoiding the PR fiasco might have been worth it. Too late now.

Strong claimed in his deposition that he & Wickline never discussed Wickline's OSU contract during Wickline's job interviews & hiring process. Wickline said in his deposition he couldn't remember if they ever discussed it. A person would have to be extremely naive to believe either of those statements.

Or they are both that ignorant. Strong knew he had something in his Louisville contract, but didn't know how it was resolved, just that it was resolved.

Wickline didn't come across as a mental giant either.
