It is time for everybody on Orangebloods to go on the record.Texas will kickoff its season against North Texas in a few days, which means it is time for preseason predictions. There is nothing worse than hearing somebody say "I told you so" when you know the person never made that prediction. It is annoying, and secretly you wish there was enough evidence to prove your friend is not Nostradamus. Not this year.Call your shots now. Do not wait until after the season. Try not to be the person who says nothing today, but then claims you told your friends at happy hour Texas would win a national championship this season. The tsips pulled strings behind the scenes to avoid facing Daddy A&M in a bowl game when Manziel, Evans, Joeckel, Swope, and Matthews were playing for A&M in 2012 and 2013.

But now that A&M is starting an inexperienced true freshman qb who has only 3 games of college football experience, the sips are hoping to play us in a bowl.

Morning Rocco,

I think a lot (or all) of those predictions assumed we wouldn't lose Ash after the 1st game of the season. Also, the Big 12 turned out to be a lot tougher conference than originally anticipated (bdf hahaha!).

Despite the 6-6 record, I'm excited for a few reasons... first, I'm PUMPED for our game against the Frogs. I really want to test how far we've come against a top tier opponenet. Secondly, the way our defense has controled the gap and contained the outside lately versus the way they did against, say, BYU has been night and day. They're also so much more physical than last year. And finally, Wickline deservies some kind of nobel prize for what he's accomplshed with this rag tag offensive line. They are much more technically sound now and are missing A LOT less assignments. They're still a loooong ways away from resembling anything close to being consistently dominant, but the improvement up to this point is undeniable.

If you're "pumped" to play TCU and think you're offensive line is getting better because they looked good against WVU, tech, and Ok state you might be in a ****ty conference.

TCU would wipe the floor with A&M. 3 TD victory with ease. You guys sure are confident considering you squeaked out a win against the worst of all of the Louisiana directional schools. That is like squeaking by UTEP. That isn't a joke either. Equivalent comparison.

Yes but TCU didn't get smoke by 60 points by anyone. Neither did Texas. Fact is the Ag offense isn't that great (OL is porous so any team with a good pass rush is going to rock you) and your defense is among the worst in the country. The numbers back me up but feel free to spin away.

UT's pass rush is among the best in the nation. Again feel free to look it up. Our front 4 is elite. If, and it is a big if, Jordan Hicks stays healthy he's a Sunday player next year as well. I'd welcome a game against the Ags. UT matches up really well with your team. We run the ball very well which you guys can't stop. Our D has plenty of experience stopping spread offenses and has done a very good job of it as referenced below:

"Brown has been one of the leaders of a defense that ranks 29th in the FBS in total yards allowed (346.5 per game), 19th in points allowed (21.0 pg), No. 13 in yards allowed per play (4.59) and eighth in sacks (3.4 pg)."

See that's the difference between A&M and texas. When A&M is 7-4 there are calls to fire the coach. When texas is 6-5 there are calls to throw a parade. It just show how the expectations on the 40 acres have fallen to the point where they embrace mediocrity....if you can even call 6-5 mediocre.
