In the postgame interview, Heim took full responsibility for the ball that got by him. Said emotions got to him. Didn't even mention the missed call by the ump that caused it.

Runner scoring from 2nd is on Heim but what was he supposed to do if the runner was on third? He flipped his glove to the ump with his vision on the pitcher waiting for a ball from the ump. It never came. By the time Heim realized the ump didn't call it foul, the runner would've scored. Just a terrible sequence from both.


Glad it didn't matter though.

Runner on 3rd scoring I think would have been excusable (for Heim). Ump blew it either way, but you can't let a runner take two bases.

Got some bonehead stuff outta the way and still got the W.
