Awesome opener. Love putting the Warriors on notice in game 1 after an off season of endless hype. The craziest part is the Spurs actually out small balled the Warriors with the 2nd team and dominated the boards with the starters. Pretty lethal combo, especially if Simmons takes the next step this year!

I love it when Chuck calls games but that's too much time on mic, he'll end up getting fired for saying something he shouldn't have... like the blow job reference he managed to slip into the halftime show.

Good to see the spurs playing hard for 48 minutes. Been known to get sloppy and winning by 8 in a blowout game. Not this bunch, at least for tonight. Now let's see how the 3rd team does in the last 3 minutes.

Their death lineup is amazing.

Curry
Klay
Iggy
Durant
Draymond

Sure, after that, they only have West, Livingston and Zaza, but they don't really need a lot outside those eight.

That is a lot of top-loaded talent. I hope that Gasol/LMA can power through their smaller lineups and make them play their spare post players. They have no front court depth. Their backcourt is fine.

The losses really added up. Livingston and Iguodala, who are already a little past their primes, are a year older, and then they lost Bogut, Barnes, Speights, Barbosa, and Izili. That's a ton.

They replaced the lost big men with Varejao (utterly useless. Like cut him tomorrow useless), West (decent, but a long way from his peak), and Zaza (meh).
