I go over to TD's on occasion, and it's crazy the amount of butthurt that site has towards us. If you were just reading the posts, you'd swear we were their #1 rival. I hate LSU, but they down on my list of potential #1 rivals.

Respectfully, you are unaware of the long rivalry with LSU. Far from budding. Not bigger than tu but we have been playing them on and off again in series since 1914!

This upcoming season is likely to be very eye opening for little brother. They don't have a transcendent QB like Johnny with Kingsbury's aggressive play calling. I firmly expect them to have a tough season. Also, the wear and tear of the SEC will leave them dinged and battered most of the season. Very few games will be a cake walk and a lot of the teams will be gunning for the team that made the playoffs the previous year.
I enjoy finishing the season against LSU. Lots of fans here in Houston that I work with and its been fun talking s#1t.
Sips are d@uc#e$.

I like the entire concept of this post, but I want to point out that we've never been in the same conference with LSU and t.u. at the same time. Going forward, this is gonna get real good and highly competitive. I think we end up seeing both as primary rivals due to location, location, location.rootube said:
People are either too young to remember or have amnesia. LSU is a neat little budding rivalry but absolutely nothing in comparison to horn.
Baylor?!?! Come on, show some dignity.

Yeah, way too young to remember when we played lsu annually back in the day, when they cancelled the series or that we have a fairly even record against them historically, and that we have played them far more than we have a lot of other schools we have history with. It is anything but "budding".rootube said:

tu is a rival because of old history, but in reality the series is anything but a rivalry - it's a game that nostalgic old Ags remember. But most of the time they forget that we lose 2 out of every 3 to them and that, generally speaking, our two schools have little in common outside of being from the same state and being in the same confernence for so many years.
And if one were to really go into Aggie history, you'ld discover that the Baylor rivalry was far more serious and heated before the tu rivalry ever was. We got really complacent with them because we had about a 20 year stretch where we didn't lose to them, which makes it hard to really sustain a good rivalry (see tu towards us for much of the history between us).
A&M and lsu are far more alike than they are different, and they are a great school to absolutely hate.

Haven't you listened to what follows the War Hymn?
"Cut Tiger's tail off!
Cut Tiger's tail off!
Cut Tiger's tail off!
Short!"
Nobody said they weren't our rival. They are, and because of history, always will be. The idea that the lsu rivalry is this "budding" modern creation is just stupid, which is what is being said.rootube said:schmellba99 said:Yeah, way too young to remember when we played lsu annually back in the day, when they cancelled the series or that we have a fairly even record against them historically, and that we have played them far more than we have a lot of other schools we have history with. Baylor… A&M's true historical rival.
Meanwhile the team that we were so passionate about that we built bonfire and memorialized in our fight song is just another school that happens to be in Texas but has nothing in common with us. Unlike the small private school in Waco that we have tons in common with.
Do you people not realize that your childish insistence that they are NOT out rival is just proof that you can't deal with the fact that they are.
