quote:So it hurts Baylor and Tech?!
I think it is a dumb rule. It hurts smaller schools in areas that aren't great for recruiting plus those with interest from out of state schools.

Perhaps the biggest flaw of the SEC's argument was the fact that many of its coaches want to do them. Georgia's Kirby Smart, Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin and Arkansas' Bret Bielema were among those on record saying they were ready to stage camps if the NCAA ban didn't happen.

Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin told ESPN the Aggies had tentative satellite camps set on the calendar. "We're not the only SEC team that's doing that, too," Sumlin said.

The SEC and ACC will once again get exclusive contact with recruits down south at their own camps.

The Pac-12 was one of the four power conferences to vote in favor of banning satellite camps, but that doesn't mean everybody within the Pac-12 was in favor of the decision. Washington State head coachMike Leach had no problem sharing his displeasure over the decision that was made official earlier in the day."It appears that the selfish interests of a few schools and conferences prevailed over the best interests of future potential student-athletes," Leach said
