Disclaimer: I have not really followed the recruiting process for a number of years. Mainly because I think its ridiculous for grown men to get all giddy when a kid tweets this and A.B.S. when a kid tweets that. The process of a 'verbal commitment' is a joke. Everybody knows that. Our modern social media environment has it made is possible for 17 year olds to be the center of attention for months and I can't blame them for taking it. "Oh, which hat are they going to pick out of that bag?" It is frankly, quite silly to even follow it. Several years ago I stopped caring until national signing day. On signing day I am excited to see which kids actually want to play at Texas A&M. That is when I watch highlight film. But then, my excitement wains about these kids until I actually see them on Saturdays making a difference in a football game.
With that said -
I hereby resolve to support and welcome the kids that actually sign with Texas A&M and show up on campus.
Other than that, this whole thing is just a big first world problem joke.
