I went to the Bama game in 2012 and it was awesome. Best experience of my time as a student. Im not as cool as that guy who got on the sideline though. I wanted to pass this along for you Ags who want to go to the Bama game for cheap. This shuttle company will take you from Houston to Tuscaloosa for $80 round trip, and you DON'T NEED A HOTEL! Starline travel company is considering offering an overnight charter bus to catch the game.

Houston-Tuscaloosa October 17th-18th

Load the bus. BRING YOUR OWN BEVERAGES!

Leave Houston Friday evening. Get to TTown Saturday morning.

Tailgate all Day. Go to the Game. Ags Win.

Load back on the bus and head home. You may not even need to take off work.

The company told me if I help spread the word they will offer this overnight schedule. I don't want to pay for a $500 hotel. Here's the the link, they should be posting the overnight option soon. Should be a bunch of good ole drunk Ags the whole way there

I've heard good reviews from people who have ridden with from Houston to CS for gameday round trips.

Is this what you are selling me OP, because if so just shuttup right now and take my money.

There's really only one question that needs to be answered.

Does the bus driver have full Plexiglas protection surrounding him at all times while the bus is in motion?

If yes, this sounds like a good deal.

If no, this sounds like $80 and a 50/50 chance everyone lives.

Personal coolers are welcome, as long as they don't contain glass. Any larger coolers or tailgate gear can be easily stowed under the bus. And we have a route from College Station as well! The vehicle currently assigned was just fully refurbished in 2012 and we think you'll like it!

Worst case scenario, we can barricade him in the bathroom. But in seriousness, we've run buses from Las Vegas to Pasadena for the National Championship game, every A&M home game and Birmingham to Tuscaloosa, so our drivers are pretty experienced with handling anyone who celebrated a bit too much.

We provide our drivers with hotel rooms once in Tuscaloosa, or if necessary, position a driver in ahead of time to make sure we're not only within DOT standards, but that our drivers are 100% comfortable and ready to drive.

Time to start up a betting pool on if Unmade Bed makes it back on the bus or not after the game. We can keep this train moving.

Set some odds on if Unmade Bed:

Pukes on the bus (either trip there or back)

Is first person to sh** on the bus (ultimate bus no-no)

Gets arrested for being passed out in public (in a planter box pays off extra)

Sleeps at all until the return trip

Gets arrested period

Gets jumped by some bammers at a tailgate

Makes it back to the bus for return trip

Even goes on the trip at all

Gets put in the doghouse upon return to Houston

I like this option, but I really wouldn't want to leave Tuscaloosa that night, especially if we kicked some Bama ass. Decisions, decisions.

Is the bus a sleeper bus, or "regular" with fixed seats?

I've been on ski trips where the seats convert to flat beds for use with a sleeping bag and pillow and they work pretty well so long as you have ear plugs and enough alcohol to knock you out. Only sucks when you're next to the can after someone bombs it.
