Figured you guys would find this pretty funny but I finished flying tonight in Denver then caught a delayed flight back to Houston. The flight was full so I sat in the jumpseat. On the way down ATC started to advise us of laser activity in the area. This is a pretty big deal as I've been lasered twice and it completely blinds you. We were at 35ish thousand feet and noticed what people were talking about in the distance (100ish nm).
Kept going from Red to Green to White and we couldn't really figure out what it was until we were about 30nm away. The United captain started telling them that he doesn't know what it is when it hit me it was the new screen at Kyle Field. He let ATC know (they're not from the area) and from that point every all the airliners were complaining about it and the FAA said they were on it. Not sure why it was cranked up so bright but someone will be getting a few calls. I took pictures with my cell phone that don't really do it justice but that board was eye piercing.
