Went to this Heights establishment yesterday by a friend's recommendation. Fantastic ice cream. Makes Marble Slab taste like rubber.

I would definitely recommend it.

Yep, it's right by my house but Amy's is better IMO, of course no where near as good as Blue Bell though.

Maybe we aren't eating the same Blue Bell, because Fat Cat's Mexican Vanilla made Blue Bell Vanilla taste like Breyers. Good ice cream on a damn good waffle cone, too.

If you like the jack daniels, try their whiskey butter pecan. Probably the best scoop of ice cream ive ever had.

the brownies they sell at the counter are good too.

Love Fat Cat's strawberry buttermilk gin ice cream. Get it every time and don't mind paying extra for it. Never had their Mexican vanilla but Amy's version is perfect.

Can you imagine one of these kolache chachbags walking into a Shipley's and ordering a klobasnek and having little Consuela giving the blankest state as to what the hell they are talking about? Only to then brow beat her down while educating them on the czech names for food

Except Shipleys. It's owned by a white man but he employs Mezcuns (I think the one on was busted for hiring illegals recently) and he uses it as front for his drug dealing operation.

Why else are they open 24 hours with a line into Ella at any given time of day?

If I go to taco Bell and order a chalupa, I get this.

Not the same thing that you might get in Mexico or from someone in Mexico.

I only get annoyed if someone gives me those weird kolaches with fruit in them.
Such a letdown when I'm expecting to bite into a good Czech hotdog and it's a ****ing apple or something.

They use a different recipe for the kolache dough than the other locations. I agree, they're way, way better than the other locations.

I think the Shipley corporate owns the location on North Main and the one on Ella.
