I went to Michoacan the first time SuperBowl Sunday to pick up fajita beef. For ~3.99/lbs- I was very pleased with how they turned out

that being said...Lupe Tortillas is way far down the list of what i consider good ... at anything...except their flautas


Thought tiempo and the meat market weren't even affiliated and almost 100% certain they aren't the same fajitas used at the restaurant.

Yeah, we had the El Tiempo market fajitas last week at a friend's house. They were good, but weren't anything like the actual ET fajitas.

I like Sitos and Tiempo. I wouldn't say they're the best, but they are consistently of high quality (and price).
agree, the absolute worst I've ever had. Like trying to eat burnt beef jerky. I'll take the medium rare from Pappasito's.

Besides the name, it's still pretty much the same old Matamoros Meat Market, isn't it? Which was not bad either. Used to pick up grillin meat there often.

Does anyone -not stuck with kids- ever voluntarily go to Lupe Tortilla? The Chuck E. Cheese of Tex-Mex...

Maybe the fajitas are good....worst atmosphere ever, unless you need to keep the kid occupied.....

El Tiempo in a landslide, though some have *****ed about their exurban locations (Vintage whatever).....

But I went to the litter box by Academy/Greenbriar enough
to know the "Lupe Method". Remember the kid's sandbox up front; yeah, the one they struck cause stray cats used it....every night? There's a telling hint. It was always about the WU brats. I see them quite enough, thanks.

Never said the food was bad.
BTW, very disappointed in Molina's Washington.
A fine Houston tradition....failing. (Was just there).

I'm ALWAYS in the market for solid Mex leads ITL, btw.
.....and I'm ruthless about the (Pappas, etc.) ITL failures.

Literally just got done eating at El Tiempo to see what all the damn fuss was about. And I must say it was good, but Lupe is still top dog in the fajita category by a mile.

I'm well aware that the meat market is not the actual fajita meat at el tiempo. But I'll take the knock off at the meat market over the garbage from lupe tortilla anyway.

Lupe Tortilla is okay for fajitas. Escalantes, Sitos, and El Tiempo blows Lupe out of the water.

$4/lb?! where the **** is this Michoacan you are going to? Usually they are at least $6/lb. Not that much of a difference, but it adds up over time.
