Has anyone been to Atami lately that has a recommendation for a hibachi grill chef? We are taking my mother for her birthday this weekend and I wanted to request a good chef b/c that can make or break your experience if you don't have a good one. Thank you in advance for your recommendation.

Oh ya we had a great one. He was Chinese or Japanese with black hair, thin and had a little bit of an accent. Excellent though, we had a great time! I cant believe I didnt ask him his name!

Make your reservation/request soon. We went on a weeknight and the wait for hibachi was over an hour. But....we loved both the sushi and hibachi food!
It's actually teppanyaki, not hibachi. HTH.

According to the good folks at Wikipedia, hibachi can in fact refer to the teppanyaki style of cooking.
