Electronic's Boutique! That place in the mall will always hold a special place in my heart. That and Babbage's. I hate to be old and nostalgic, but monthly magazines and those places were the best places to get news back in the day. If my parents were going to the mall, I was sure as heck going with them cause I needed to go check out the latest games and hope they had a new game in the demo kiosk.

I will also never forget their PS2 games deal summer 2001. Trade any 2 PS2 games get any game free. I lived at home that summer for an internship and my fiance (now wife) had an internship in another city. I played the crap out of my PS2 that summer and had money to spend. I was showing up at EB Games every 2 weeks with 2 games to get a brand new one. Awesome!

F'ing babbages! Wasn't it pronounced "baguages" or some garbage like that? I remember trying to sneak from Royal Daulton over there while my parents weren't watching. I also remember renting the Virtual Boy from there and almost descending into dementia from the whacked ass 3D graphics. Great thread OP

Only thing Hastings was good for was getting cash for all those CDs that, as a kid, I accumulated via BMG mail service. Seriously, those guys would offer like 12 for the price of one, and the only way they didn't rip you off was if you returned the automatic crap they sent you that you didn't want, cancelled your service, and then took their 12 for 1 offer again when the "wanted you back" a few months later. So many CDs... and Hastings was always there to pay me for them!!!
