Was amazing at Mario kart 64 in college(way rusty now). Mario kart wii I was a 9999 for a few months.

I won a high school Halo (3?) tournament. Then the next year I lost because they put a mathematical non gamer in charge of making the rules and he decided K/D was the best measure of skill (like a scrub). Ain't nobody got time for k/d...

I saw someone mention Day of Defeat. That game was brutal even when I played it every day. I would get creamed for a good while if I jumped back into it now

I played the hell out of Day of Defeat also.

I was pretty much a badass at X-Wing a LONG time ago.

Goldeneye. As a kid I unlocked all the secret levels and cheats without cheating. Went back and tried to do it again a few years ago. Nope.

Metroid on NES. I still remember the map perfectly.

Metroid was really hard when I was a kid. I remember attempting to make a map, and I probably got 60% through before I felt comfortable enough to just ditch that project. Then Super Metroid came out and it had a map built it, making the initial part of the game seem easy. Although I think overall it was a more difficult game.

I think I'm about to find this out for Halo 2 & 3 when the MC Collection comes out. My K/D ratio and rank will probably be well below where I was 10 years ago.

starcraft. i used to play pretty well, now i suck balls at sc2. just dont have time to play like i used to. sucks. i'd wonder if i was completely financial independent if i would play video games more often.

Used to play on a heavily aggie server called Texas-Shootout

MarioKart64. On time trial mode, I could complete all three laps in 57 seconds.

Although, I do play BeerioKart now (must finish one beer per race, must pull over and stop to drink) and I bet I could beat that little **** with those rules

Ninja Gaiden 1-3 on NES. They were already very hard in my prime. Zero chance to beat them today.

My wife could play one ball on the original Atari until she got tired/bored and quit. Using all of my plays, I couldn't beat her one ball score.

I think I can still beat Super Metroid without dying. Ridley would be the only hiccup. ****ing dragon

When I was in high school I would speedrun the game. So in that regard I wouldn't be as good

I was freaking awesome at crash team racing (CTR) on the original playstation (before it was called psone). I could lap the AI on hard difficulty on some tracks. Even beat N. Oxide on a few tracks in adventure mode and he cheats on every track. If sony ever implements the backwards compatibility I've been hearing about for PS4, I would love to play that game again.

You guys don't remember the original arcade Space Invaders, but it was a game changer (literally).

Figured out that if you counted your shots, you could get the maximum score for killing the UFO ship when it appeared. High score every time
