His holiday album was almost unlistenable

You have to pick the highlights for sure. He can get a little experimental at times.

Supposedly, this album is much more like Seven Swans and much less like Age of Adz.

His new album, yes. The original 5 are golden.

Hopefully he tours down south for this.

Saw him touring for the Age of Adz in Kansas City and, as strange as it was, it was also really memorable and cool. Hung around for a long time behind the venue afterward waiting to meet him and finally he emerged going for a late night bike ride and we got to chat with him for a while. He was just like you'd expect. Got my Michigan album signed.

Yeah I saw that adz tour in Dallas at SMU and enjoyed it a lot.

If the new single is any clue, Modest Mouse might be back

Purity Ring's 2012 debut was so good, and the singles they are releasing from their 2015 album have me near convinced they can avoid the sophomore album jinx.

And I might get laughed at for this, but Ella Henderson's new album is pretty awesome. She is definitely way ahead of her time as a singer, and from the start one of the better young singer's in the game today.

BTW, on the subject of Sufjan Stevens, he'll be on tour again and hitting Dallas on 5/10 at The Majestic, and Austin on 5/12 at Bass Music Hall.

Jason Isbell continues to prove that Drive By Truckers was holding him back. There's a tune on spotify he released with (his now wife) Amanda Shires that's a cover of Lykke Li's "I Follow Rivers" that's excellent, but I can't find it online. Here the other cover called "Mutineer" from the same 2 song album called Sea Songs.
