Mary's revenge tour continues. This win was over Cal's Hannah Viller Moeller.

We had a crushing loss to Cal at the indoors in 2022. Final match was Jeanette losing 7-6 in the third to…Hannah Viller Moeller.

She has only lost twice this spring (Nicole did it back in January). While Ma is a still a junior she has to be feeling the pressure of her legacy with this senior class being the first one in Stanford history to not win a national championship and already gone home.

I know it's early to talk about next year, but if everyone (except Carson) returns we will be crazy good.

Lexington will take 1 open scholarship next year.
Jennifer is only a junior.

That means we should have a transfer spot open. Repeat a Nicole Khirin / Carson Branstine level transfer and we have the talent to run it back.

Curious about Gianna Pielet! Does she get a ring? She unfollowed the women's tennis team account on social and got rid of all Aggie posts as well… she endured the tough losses the past few years, I'm sure she would've enjoyed the national title had she stayed with the team! Is there any insight on that decision

It doesn't have to be a or a one-season scholarship or any other transfer since Mary and Jeanette will both be seniors next year. On the other hand, Alexa Noel did finish her undergrad degree at Miami this spring and the only teammates returning to Miami are a freshman and a one-year transfer from Iowa State.

I would be very surprised if she gets one. She was kicked off the team. Usually if you don't leave on your own, you don't get one. I could be wrong but I doubt it happens.

I'm in the meltdown, the world is definitely ending portion of this movie thread !! Very scary but very engaging. I'm hooked. A real page turner. No one better be going back and deleting sh*t.

Some highlights so far in summary - Weaver is Jimbo, Weaver's job on the line, various wailing/gnashing of teeth including by some who started so strong, "at least the SEC is weak this year" and we have no chance. Dang this movie is good.

My personal favorite was those lamenting that we didn't just fill Carson's scholarship with a decent but unspectacular player. I guess Coach Weaver was tired of just competing and wanted to win the whole damn thing.

We will have just as much fun in next year's thread. The beauty of it moving forward is we have our natty and that will live forever.

College tennis is so much fun and I'm glad we have enough passionate fans to keep these threads going. You won't find many like it for other college teams.
