What is the best type of doctor to address pain due to neuropathy?

If you don't have a diagnosis yet, you need to see your primary care physician or a neurologist to figure it out. If you have a diagnosis and the PCP or neurologist isn't helpful maybe then pain management specialist

What kind of neuropathy? What's the cause?
Get a diagnosis first. From experience I'd say pain management can work unless the root cause can be fixed without too much risk. Personally went through a long struggle with Trigeminal Neuralgia putting off major invasive surgery until the pain was too great and the meds no longer worked . In hindsight I shoulda had the surgery from the start to fix the "cause" . Had it and it all worked out . Every neurologist is different and few will send you to a surgeon right away so pain management and meds will usually be the first action taken .
My rheumatologist initially diagnosed my peripheral neuropathy and a neurologist confirmed it.

Go see a physician. I had a similar problem and I initially consulted a neurologist who provided medicines. However they didn't help much. These sessions significantly improved my mobility and reduced discomfort, offering a holistic approach to managing neuropathic pain.
Very timely advice. Like what kind of physician? One that specializes in being a doctor?
