My wrist hurts reading that.

Got to love the marketing department's BS. The max pressure rating for even modern 45-70 loads is less than 9mm

I'm sure Kentucky Ballistics will be first in line to get one.

No thanks. 45-70 hurts enough in my lever.

I suspect the idea is that such a strong pull forces you to grip it tightly to pull the trigger. Can't imagine it makes it very easy to be accurate with your one shot though. Seems like a novelty gun to me without any real purpose it is suitable for.

if you can shoot a 45-70 out of a pistol, grip strength is not going to be an issue

S&W 642 airweight has a 13+ pound trigger.... worse trigger on the planet.

Except for just the "hey buddy, I dare you to shoot this" factor, it's hard to envision a more useless gun.
- Rifle cartridge with slow burning powders fired out of a 4" barrel.
- Absolutely terrible grip design, especially for recoil management.
- 7 lb trigger.
- Single shot in a pocket sized pistol.
- impossible to hit anything unless extremely close.

The 4" barrel makes .45-70 totally pointless, handicapping the ballistic performance of the round to the point it has no practical advantage over 9mm in exchange for horrendous recoil and no follow-up shots.

Its sole purpose is as a novelty.

Cyclops is a perfect name, thanks to the recoil. Someone's olgonna lose an eye shooting that thing.

My FIL gave me one in 45/.410 and it sucks to shoot. Can't imagine how bad that one would be

All true, can you imagine the muzzle blast from that thing.

I have a Marlin 1895 in .45-70. It's fun to shoot in moderate loads but when I get to within just a few grains of max it turns into a beast. Its muzzle jump and recoil will put the scope in your face in a hurry. I have a .375H&H (it's heavier with a longer barrel) that's way more pleasant to shoot, even at max loads.

Very curious to see gel tests with it.

Might be useful for grappling/contact distances… lol just kidding - even if it looks decent in gel tests, no ****ing way this is any better than other options in the market.
