Yep……it is.

  • Golf course closed for a tournament
  • Fishing closed because I go nowhere near the Jetties on weekends anymore and the surf is rough
  • Garden and yard are open. Guys are finishing new fence between me and the neighbor
  • National bbq day was the 16th, but I'm doing ribs today, The Wife gone or not.

Puppy up at 5:45am. I didn't sleep enough so that was not great. But he's so cute!

Was able to go back to sleep after feeding him and the cats.

Daughter has power back in Houston so that's good.

Did a couple of chores and headed to work. Need to catch up a bit.

- Grinding your own coffee beans fresh is great until you can't use the electric grinder

We keep a jar of instant that is the Altura brand and my son and wife really like it (as far as instant goes). It's good for situations like this.

Picked up Croaker last night to avoid babes on the bay
Got to my honey hole before sunrise
No fish
Decided to go drumming and when I power poled down realized I left my shrimp at the house

Silver Lining; I quit buying dead shrimp from the bait stands and get it from Paul' seafood market. Looks like I will be cooking that up for dinner tonight.

71 mile ride over and done.
Wife gone until either late tonight or tomorrow morning.
Going to have ramen and chicken nuggets for lunch.
Need to clean the bike.
Looking like the first pool session of the year later, followed by beer and cigar.
Maybe pizza for dinner?

Since getting back outdoors after the accident, I've been recording most of my rides and putting them on the youtubes. So basically just footage of 1.5 to 4 hour rides and that's it. Randomly this week, I went from having 3 views to 293 views and 1 subscriber. I guess the algorithm found my videos since I haven't posted them anywhere.

I never understood how great an invention the walker is until I needed one after a surgery. It's a really useful tool!
