Group at restaurant at 1055am on Sunday after Saturday in the sun from 1pm and getting home at 1am. I thought we were doing pretty good to but honest.

As the Ags began the last Saturday, of the regular season, they stood at 117 home runs through 54 games, +20 ahead of the pace of that record-setting club in 1999 was at 97 through 54 and would go on to finish with 128 HR in 70 games.
The Ags got it started early in this game, with Jace going big fly in the 1st inning. That was his team-leading 28th home run of the year and the 118th of the year.

BMONT in the 3rd makes it a homerun for the Ags in each of the first 3 innings. That seams pretty good. It's his 26th of the year.

GG adds another in the 7th, his 19th of the year. Don't look now, but he's (somewhat quietly) just 2 shy of tying and 3 away from writing his name in the record book. Jace set the freshman homerun mark last year at 21.

Here's the summary as the Ags close out the regular season.
- 121 through 55 games, needing 7 more to tie and 8 to establish a new team record.
- Still significantly head of the 1999 pace and absolutely obliterate the record if a similar number of games are played.
- In the Aggies very long baseball history, prior to 2024 we have exactly 4 years where an individual hit 20+ home runs. (Daylan '99 - 34; Kuz '98 - 25; Jace '23 21; and Scanlin '86 - 20)
- In the year 2024, we have already have two players over 20+ and and with his next home run GG will be the 3rd. From 3 total prior to 2023 to 6 total and likely 7 following the 2024 campaign. Schloss, Earley and co. are getting it done.
