2024 recruiting is behind us and 2025 is ramping up. Things feel different with Elko as our coach. He has the support staff to make sure we identify and sign the guys we need both from HS and the portal. Now it's time to deliver.

I'll try to post commitments to watch on here as long as I am able too.

From watching his highlights it looks like he has the Mahomes side arm pass down pat. He pretty much uses it on every single play. He's got lots of potential but definitely needs to shorten his wind up.

Not sure. I haven't heard a ton about him but I've been a little preoccupied the past few weeks.

Recruiting does not matter. 90 percent will leave for the quitter portal.

90%? That is not even close to being true. Most guys in the portal are either depth guys or a small school starter looking to move up in the world. Not even worth discussing guys that leave when there is a coaching change. I dont understand calling these guys quitters, like I said most are trying to get more playing time. Prior to the portal if 50% of a class ended up contributing on the field that was a success, it is the same now. The only difference is the kids that dont contribute can go elsewhere instead of grad transferring. Sure, guys like Stewart and Nolen could be called quitters but dont lump in all the other guys with those few that just chase the bag.
Recruiting does matter, the core of each team will be built through HS recruiting especially along the LOS. Then certain positions or roles can be filled with veteran additions from the portal. I think we see a return to more local recruiting as there seems to be a trend where kids that go to a program that is far away from home end up transferring at a higher rate.

Georgia still loads up in the HS ranks and that's where 75% of their team will come from in 3 years. They will substitute that with some transfers, but they will still have the majority of their two deep be their HS recruits.
